About the Artist

Rusty, a world traveled artist, began her career with a degree in Art from Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky and lived eleven years in Italy with her husband and two children. She has taught creative drawing, portrait classes and workshops for children and adults in America and Italy. She has taught both in English and Italian.

Pencil is her favorite media. Rusty also works extensively with colored pencil, acrylic, silverpoint and other media. She has illustrated magazine articles, pamphlets, greeting cards and especially enjoys teaching and drawing portraits from life or photos.
